The Commisioning Process

How does one choose a furniture maker? First impressions, quality and price, or how we work?

The design and creation process

What role we play in terms or your design depends entirely on you.  For example, some people have a sketch or design that they want us to create ... at the other extreme, some people ask us to provide the design.  And in-between, some people like to work closely with us, working on the design together.

Whatever option you choose the following apply:

We normally we visit the property first – to take some measurements,to discuss your ideas, and to provide you with a quotation.

To finalise the design, we provide 3D drawings to help you explore the different options. You can make changes as necessary and the drawings can be modified.

The revision process above will continue until you are absolutely happy with every aspect of the design.

Payment process

Once the design is confirmed we will provide a full quotation and ask you for a deposit, normally 30%. This confirms your order. It also allows us to book the time into our schedule and give you an estimated completion date.

For larger projects, we ask you for a second payment when the project is underway. All balances should be settled on completion.

We believe in good communication. Throughout a job we will do our best to keep your informed and updated of our progress.
